A bill for an act
 relating to public safety; requiring the legislature to ratify new or revised rules
adopted by the peace officer standards and training board; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2020, section 626.843, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 626.843, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

existing rule, the affected rules shall take effect when the legislature ratifies the board's
action by law.
