  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; authorizing state bonds; 
  1.3             appropriating money for college campuses at Staples 
  1.4             and Wadena. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [STAPLES AND WADENA CAMPUSES.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] (a) $1,887,000 is 
  1.8   appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the board of 
  1.9   trustees of the Minnesota state colleges and universities 
  1.10  campuses at Staples and Wadena. 
  1.11     (b) Of the amount in paragraph (a): 
  1.12     (1) $1,700,000 is to construct classrooms at the Staples 
  1.13  campus of Central Lakes College; and 
  1.14     (2) $187,000 is for roof replacement and repair at the 
  1.15  Wadena campus of Northwest Technical College. 
  1.16     Subd. 2.  [BOND SALE.] To provide the money appropriated by 
  1.17  this section from the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of 
  1.18  finance, on request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds 
  1.19  of the state in an amount up to $1,890,000 in the manner, on the 
  1.20  terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.21  sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.22  article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.23     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.24     Section 1 is effective the day after its final enactment.
