A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for outdoor recreation economic
impact study.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF OUTDOOR RECREATION;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2019 is appropriated from the ....... fund to the commissioner of
natural resources for an economic impact analysis that quantifies the economic impact on
the state economy from the state's public lands and the economic impact on the state economy
from outdoor recreation in the state. By December 15, 2019, the commissioner must submit
the report to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees and
divisions with jurisdiction over environment and natural resources and economic
development. This is a onetime appropriation.
