A bill for an act
 relating to human services; increasing rates for chemical dependency providers;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 256B.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [256B.7631] CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY PROVIDER RATE
INCREASE.

new text begin (a) For the chemical dependency services listed in section 254B.05, subdivision 5,
payment rates shall be increased by ten percent over the rates in effect on January 1, 2014,
for vendors who meet the requirements of section 254B.05.

new text begin (b) The commissioner shall adjust rates paid to prepaid health plans under contract
with the commissioner to reflect the rate increase provided in paragraph (a). The prepaid
health plan must pass this rate increase to the providers identified in paragraph (a).
