  1.2             relating to education; authorizing a grant for 
  1.3             remote-site consulting services; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $67,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1999 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.8   learning for a grant to expand attention and reading readiness 
  1.9   programs.  The grant is for remote-site consulting services for 
  1.10  replication of charter school No. 4011, New Visions' program at 
  1.11  two other school sites. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1998.
