A bill for an act
 relating to education; requiring quarterly reports to school boards; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 120B.11, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 120B.11, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin An elementary school principal must submit a quarterly
report to the school board documenting the number of third grade students in the school
achieving grade-level literacy. A middle school principal must submit a quarterly report to
the school board documenting the number of eighth grade students in the school achieving
grade-level math proficiency.
