  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; appropriating money 
  1.3             for new permanent exhibits at the Minnesota Children's 
  1.4             Museum; authorizing state bonds. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ROOFTOP PERSPECTIVES EXHIBIT AT MINNESOTA 
  1.7   CHILDREN'S MUSEUM.] 
  1.8      $1,240,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.9   the commissioner of administration for a grant to the city of St.
  1.10  Paul for new permanent exhibits at the Minnesota Children's 
  1.11  Museum.  This grant must be matched by one dollar from nonstate 
  1.12  sources for each dollar of state money.  The project is subject 
  1.13  to the use agreement requirement of Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.14  16A.695, and Laws 1994, chapter 643, section 81. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.16     To provide the money appropriated by section 1 from the 
  1.17  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.18  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.19  amount up to $1,240,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with 
  1.20  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.21  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.22  4 to 7. 
  1.23     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.24     This act is effective the day following its final enactment.
