A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for predesign of an East African
cultural mall in the city of St. Cloud.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; EAST AFRICAN CULTURAL MALL IN ST. CLOUD.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Center for African Immigrants
and Refugees Organization (CAIRO) for predesign of a cultural mall for the East African
community in the city of St. Cloud. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the
project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
