A bill for an act
 relating to horse racing; modifying certain breeders' fund apportionments;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 240.18, subdivision 3a.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 240.18, subdivision 3a, is amended to read:


Subd. 3a.

Other categories.

Available money apportioned to breeds other than
breeds contained in subdivisions 2 and 3 must be distributed as financial incentives to
encourage horse racing and horse breeding for such breeds.new text begin Available money apportioned
for the Arabian breed may be distributed to owners who are Minnesota residents racing at
licensed Minnesota racetracks or at racetracks of border states.
