  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Cook county; authorizing the county to 
  1.3             expend the proceeds of a certain levy for road and 
  1.4             bridge purposes. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [COOK COUNTY; EXPENDITURE OF ROAD AND BRIDGE 
  1.7   LEVY.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 163.06, 
  1.9   subdivisions 4 and 5, the county board of Cook county, by 
  1.10  resolution, may expend the proceeds of the levy under Minnesota 
  1.11  Statutes, section 163.06, in any organized or unorganized 
  1.12  township or portion thereof in the county. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day after the governing body of 
  1.15  Cook county and its chief clerical officer timely complete their 
  1.16  compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, 
  1.17  subdivisions 2 and 3.
