A bill for an act
 relating to education finance; authorizing the Willow River school district to use
long-term facilities maintenance bond proceeds for other facility maintenance
purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WILLOW RIVER AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT LONG-TERM
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE BOND PROCEEDS.

new text begin Notwithstanding the limit on long-term facilities maintenance revenue under Minnesota
Statutes, sections 123B.595, subdivision 1, and 475.61, subdivision 4, Independent School
District No. 577, Willow River, may spend any remaining balance of the proceeds of
obligations originally issued in 2016 to finance health and safety projects under Minnesota
Statutes, section 123B.595, subdivision 5, for purposes consistent with Minnesota Statutes,
section 123B.595, subdivision 10.
