  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; directing commissioner of 
  1.3             transportation to complete reconstruction of highway 
  1.4             100 as a high priority project. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [HIGHWAY 100 RECONSTRUCTION.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of transportation shall, as a high 
  1.8   priority project during the fiscal biennium ending June 30, 
  1.9   1997, implement a program to upgrade trunk highway marked No. 
  1.10  100 to a four-lane freeway from its intersection with trunk 
  1.11  highway marked No. 55 in Golden Valley, to its intersection with 
  1.12  interstate highway I-694 in Brooklyn Center. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
