A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for construction of a new
multiuse water, engineering, and utilities facility in the city of Cottage Grove.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $3,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the Public
Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of Cottage Grove for the predesign, design, and
construction of a new multiuse water, engineering, and utilities facility made necessary in
part by the additional staff, equipment, office, and storage space required to address PFAS
contamination. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the project is completed
or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
