  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.3             article XIII, by adding a section; affirming the right 
  1.4             of citizens to hunt or take game and fish. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT PROPOSED.] 
  1.7      An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution, article XIII, 
  1.8   by adding a section, is proposed to the people.  If the 
  1.9   amendment is adopted, the section will read as follows: 
  1.10     Sec. 12.  The right of citizens to hunt or take game and 
  1.11  fish in a safe, sustained-yield manner is fundamental and shall 
  1.12  not be abridged. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [SUBMISSION TO VOTERS.] 
  1.14     The proposed amendment must be submitted to the people at 
  1.15  the 1996 general election.  The question submitted shall be: 
  1.16     "Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to affirm the 
  1.17  right of citizens to hunt or take game and fish in a safe, 
  1.18  sustained-yield manner? 
  1.19                                     Yes .......
  1.20                                     No ........"
