  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to water; prohibiting sale of public water 
  1.3             works to private entity.  
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [WATER WORKS IN PUBLIC DOMAIN.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a public water 
  1.7   supply, as defined by Minnesota Statutes, section 144.382, 
  1.8   subdivision 4, or a wastewater treatment facility, as defined in 
  1.9   Minnesota Statutes, section 115.71, subdivision 6, may not be 
  1.10  sold to a private entity for operation.
