  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to insurance; clarifying coverage under 
  1.3             homeowner's insurance for day care services; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 65A.27, subdivision 
  1.5             1; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.6             chapter 65A. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 65A.27, 
  1.9   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subdivision 1.  For purposes of sections 65A.27 to 65A.29 
  1.11  65A.30 the following terms have the meanings given.  
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [65A.30] [DAY CARE SERVICES; COVERAGE.] 
  1.13     Unless: 
  1.14     (1) specifically covered in a policy; or 
  1.15     (2) covered by a rider for business coverage attached to a 
  1.16  policy, there shall be no coverage under homeowner's insurance 
  1.17  for losses or damages arising in any manner out of the operation 
  1.18  of day care services. 
  1.19     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
