A bill for an act
relating to education finance; fully funding school lunches for all students;
appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 124D.111,
subdivisions 1, 4; Laws 2017, First Special Session chapter 5, article 6, section 3,
subdivision 2.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 124D.111, subdivision 1, is amended to read:


Subdivision 1.

School lunch aid computation.

Each school year, the state must pay
participants in the national school lunch program the amount ofnew text begin :

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 124D.111, subdivision 4, is amended to read:


Subd. 4.

A participant that receives school lunch aid under
this section must make lunch available without charge to all participating students deleted text begin who
qualify for free or reduced-price meals. The participant must also ensure that any reminders
for payment of outstanding student meal balances do not demean or stigmatize any child
participating in the school lunch program
