relating to agriculture; appropriating money for revenue protection insurance
premium assistance grants.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

$500,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of agriculture to award and administer grants to
organizations to help emerging farmers pay for up to 75 percent of annual premium expenses
for up to two years under the federal Whole-Farm Revenue Protection Program or the federal
Micro Farm Revenue Insurance Program.
