  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to vocational rehabilitation; appropriating 
  1.3             money for the centers for independent living. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $528,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998, and 
  1.7   $528,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999, are 
  1.8   appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.9   economic security for centers for independent living.  This 
  1.10  appropriation is to partially achieve the recommended minimum 
  1.11  funding level of $500,000 per center and is in addition to the 
  1.12  appropriation provided in Laws 1997, chapter 200, article 1, 
  1.13  section 5, subdivision 2. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
