proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 204B.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

A person who is serving in an elected office in state, county, or municipal
government must resign from that elected office on the day that person announces that he
or she is seeking election to a higher office.
