A bill for an act
relating to energy; appropriating money for propane tank grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin PROPANE TANK GRANTS.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2015 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of commerce to award cost-share grants to persons who purchase for their
own use a propane tank with a storage capacity of at least 100 gallons. Grant amounts
shall equal 25 cents per gallon of storage capacity up to 20,000 gallons and ten cents for
each gallon of storage capacity over 20,000 gallons. Eligible tanks must be purchased
after June 30, 2014. This is a onetime appropriation.
