A bill for an act
 relating to education; allowing the Perpich Center for Arts Education to
participate in the alternative teacher professional pay system; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 129C.10, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 129C.10, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Notwithstanding other law to the
contrary, the Perpich Center for Arts Education and the licensed teachers it employs to
provide instruction in the center's full-time programs for talented pupils are eligible to
participate in an alternative teacher professional pay system, consistent with sections
122A.413, 122A.414, 122A.4144, 122A.415, 126C.10, and related sections.
