  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state parks; adding to state parks; 
  1.3             renaming O.L. Kipp state park; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1996, section 85.012, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision; repealing Minnesota Statutes 1996, 
  1.6             section 85.012, subdivision 46. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 85.012, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 8a.  Blufflands state park, Winona and Houston 
  1.11  counties, which is renamed from O.L. Kipp state park. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [ADDITIONS TO STATE PARKS.] 
  1.13     Subdivision 1.  [85.012] [Subd. 4.] [BEAR HEAD LAKE STATE 
  1.14  PARK, ST. LOUIS COUNTY.] The following areas are added to Bear 
  1.15  Head Lake state park, all in St. Louis county, Minnesota: 
  1.16     (1) Outlot A in the plat of Swanson Shores in Section 34, 
  1.17  Township 62 North, Range 14 West; and 
  1.18     (2) Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 3, Township 61 North, 
  1.19  Range 14 West. 
  1.20     Subd. 2.  [85.012] [Subd. 30a.] [JOHN LATSCH STATE PARK, 
  1.21  WINONA COUNTY.] The following areas are added to John Latsch 
  1.22  state park, all in Township 108 North, Range 8 West, Winona 
  1.23  county, Minnesota: 
  1.24     (1) Government Lot 1, Section 16; 
  1.25     (2) that part of Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 17, lying 
  1.26  north and east of the right-of-way of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St.
  2.1   Paul, and Pacific Railroad Company; and 
  2.2      (3) that part of the East Half of Government Lot 3, Section 
  2.3   17, lying north and east of a line 35 feet riverward and 
  2.4   parallel with the centerline of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. 
  2.5   Paul, and Pacific Railroad Company's riverward track, excepting 
  2.6   therefrom that part of the East Half of Government Lot 3 
  2.7   acquired as tract Wi-1 by the United States Government on 
  2.8   January 6, 1936, by condemnation. 
  2.9      Sec. 3.  [REPEALER.] 
  2.10     Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 85.012, subdivision 46, is 
  2.11  repealed.
