  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to elections; requiring candidates to file a 
  1.3             list of persons and groups endorsed by the candidate; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapter 10A.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [10A.175] [ENDORSEMENT OF PERSONS OR GROUPS.] 
  1.8      A candidate must file with the board and may amend at any 
  1.9   time a notarized list of persons or groups, including political 
  1.10  parties or party units, endorsed by the candidate. 
  1.11     The board shall make available on its Web site the current 
  1.12  list of political committees, political funds, and political 
  1.13  party units for use in submitting the lists required by this 
  1.14  section. 
  1.15     An endorsement under this section does not by itself change 
  1.16  the nature of an independent expenditure made by a person or 
  1.17  group.
