  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; human services; capital 
  1.3             improvements; providing a grant to Itasca county for 
  1.4             integrated community resource centers with interactive 
  1.5             television linkages to remote sites; appropriating 
  1.6             money; authorizing the issuance of state bonds. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; ITASCA COUNTY INTEGRATED 
  1.9   COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER.] 
  1.10     (a) $1,500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund 
  1.11  to the commissioner of administration for a grant to Itasca 
  1.12  county.  The grant must be used for acquisition and betterment 
  1.13  of a facility for an integrated community resource center; for 
  1.14  acquisition and betterment of an addition to a school building 
  1.15  in the Grand Rapids school district for use as an interactive 
  1.16  television studio that will provide linkages between the 
  1.17  integrated community resource center and the school districts in 
  1.18  the county; and for an addition to the school in the Bigfork 
  1.19  school district for a social service center. 
  1.20     (b) To provide the money appropriated by this act from the 
  1.21  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.22  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.23  amount up to $1,500,000 in the manner, on the terms, and with 
  1.24  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.25  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.26  4 to 7.
