  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state government; requiring flags in the 
  1.3             Capitol area to be flown at half-staff following death 
  1.4             of a firefighter killed in the line of duty; proposing 
  1.5             coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 1. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [1.51] [FLAGS FLOWN AT HALF-STAFF FOLLOWING 
  1.8   FIREFIGHTER DEATH.] 
  1.9      Each American flag and Minnesota flag flown on the grounds 
  1.10  of the Capitol area, as described in section 15B.02, must be 
  1.11  flown at half-staff following the death of a firefighter killed 
  1.12  in the line of duty in Minnesota.  The flags must be flown at 
  1.13  half-staff for a period of time determined by the governor.
