A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Rondo Innovation
Campus in the city of St. Paul.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; RONDO INNOVATION CAMPUS.

new text begin $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to ReConnect Rondo to evaluate
potential sustainable technology, prepare environmental and community impact studies,
and to predesign and design the Rondo Innovation Campus in the city of St. Paul, a NetZero
facility that will house multiple community services and gathering space for the public.
This appropriation is onetime, may be used to match federal funds, and is available until
the project is completed or abandoned subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
