  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to higher education; requiring the University 
  1.3             of Minnesota college of agriculture to report to the 
  1.4             legislature; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes, chapter 137. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [137.343] [REPORT TO LEGISLATURE.] 
  1.8      The University of Minnesota college of agricultural, food, 
  1.9   and environmental sciences must present an annual report to the 
  1.10  agricultural policy committees of the senate and the house of 
  1.11  representatives.  The report must include:  a description of the 
  1.12  sources and uses of funds; an outline of major policy changes; 
  1.13  new agricultural initiatives; and long-range plans for programs, 
  1.14  staff, and facilities.  The report must be presented no later 
  1.15  than 30 days after each regular session of the legislature 
  1.16  convenes and is in addition to the system plans submitted under 
  1.17  section 135A.06.
