  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; capital improvements; 
  1.3             appropriating money for capital improvements at 
  1.4             Anoka-Ramsey community college; authorizing the 
  1.5             issuance of state bonds. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; ANOKA-RAMSEY COMMUNITY 
  1.8   COLLEGE.] 
  1.9      (a) $14,940,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund 
  1.10  to the board of trustees of the Minnesota state colleges and 
  1.11  universities for capital improvements at Anoka-Ramsey community 
  1.12  college.  Of this amount, $4,510,000 is for design and 
  1.13  construction to replace the existing energy plant and plant 
  1.14  services area, improve the entrance, and add a new elevator.  
  1.15  $10,430,000 is for an addition and remodeling for classrooms, 
  1.16  learning resource center, computer labs, developmental learning 
  1.17  center, science labs, nursing facilities, student services, 
  1.18  offices, and campus center. 
  1.19     (b) To provide the money appropriated by this act from the 
  1.20  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.21  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.22  amount up to $14,940,000 in the manner, on the terms, and with 
  1.23  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.24  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.25  4 to 7.
