 relating to public safety; rejecting Sentencing Guidelines Commission
recommendations on controlled substance offenses.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

REJECTED.

new text begin The following modifications proposed by the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines
Commission in its January 15, 2016, report to the legislature are rejected and do not
go into effect: those described as 2.A. Non-Legislative Modifications to Controlled
Substance Offenses on pages 14 to 17 of the report, and the corresponding language in
Appendix 2.2.A. on pages 65 to 81 of the report.
