  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; increasing compensation 
  1.3             of watershed district managers; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 2002, section 103D.315, subdivision 8. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 103D.315, 
  1.7   subdivision 8, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 8.  [COMPENSATION.] The compensation of managers for 
  1.9   meetings and for performance of other necessary duties may not 
  1.10  exceed $55 $75 a day.  Managers are entitled to reimbursement 
  1.11  for traveling and other necessary expenses incurred in the 
  1.12  performance of official duties.
