  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8   Section 1.  [TRANSPORTATION AND OTHER AGENCIES APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.9      The sums in the columns headed "APPROPRIATIONS" are 
  1.10  appropriated from the general fund, or another named fund, to 
  1.11  the agencies and for the purposes specified to be available for 
  1.12  the fiscal years indicated for each purpose.

  3.10     Sec. 4.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 360.024, is 
  3.11  amended to read: 
  3.12     360.024 [AIR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, COST 
  3.13  REIMBURSEMENT SERVICE CHARGES.] 
  3.14     The commissioner shall charge users of air transportation 
  3.15  services provided by the commissioner for all direct operating 
  3.16  costs, including salaries and acquisition of excluding pilot 
  3.17  salary and aircraft acquisition costs.  All receipts for these 
  3.18  services shall be deposited in the air transportation services 
  3.19  account in the state airports fund and are appropriated to the 
  3.20  commissioner to pay all these direct air service operating costs 
  3.21  , including salaries.  Receipts to cover the cost of acquisition 
  3.22  of aircraft must be transferred and credited to the account or 
  3.23  fund whose assets were used for the acquisition. 
  3.24     Sec. 5.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  3.25     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
