  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Dakota county; clarifying the employment 
  1.3             status of certain employees; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1996, section 383D.41, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 383D.41, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 6.  [STATUS OF AUTHORITY EMPLOYEES.] Notwithstanding 
  1.10  any law to the contrary, employees of the authority shall not be 
  1.11  deemed county employees for any purpose, absent a resolution of 
  1.12  consent adopted by the county board. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective upon approval by the Dakota county 
  1.15  board of commissioners and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.16  section 645.021.
