A bill for an act
 relating to human services; appropriating money for a grant to the Metropolitan
Consortium of Community Developers for the Direct Support Professionals
Employee-Owned Cooperative Program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin METROPOLITAN CONSORTIUM OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPERS;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to the Metropolitan
Consortium of Community Developers, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for the following
activities related to the Direct Support Professionals Employee-Owned Cooperative Program:
outreach and engagement, managing a screening and selection process, providing one-to-one
technical assistance, developing and providing training curricula related to cooperative
development and home and community-based waiver services, administering funds, and
reporting and program evaluation. These are onetime appropriations.
