  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to the town of Elmira; authorizing the 
  1.3             establishment of a detached banking facility. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [TOWN OF ELMIRA; DETACHED BANKING FACILITY.] 
  1.6      With the prior approval of the commissioner of commerce, 
  1.7   any bank located in the city of Preston may establish and 
  1.8   maintain not more than one detached facility in the town of 
  1.9   Elmira.  A bank desiring to establish a detached facility under 
  1.10  this act must follow the approval procedure prescribed in 
  1.11  Minnesota Statutes, section 47.54.  The establishment of a 
  1.12  detached facility under this act is subject to Minnesota 
  1.13  Statutes, sections 47.51 to 47.57, except to the extent those 
  1.14  sections are inconsistent with this act. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.16     Section 1 takes effect the day after compliance by the town 
  1.17  board of the town of Elmira with Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.18  645.021, subdivision 3.
