A bill for an act
relating to transportation; designating a section of U.S. Highway 12 as Officer Bill
Mathews Memorial Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 161.14,
by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 161.14, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Officer Bill Mathews Memorial Highway. new text end

new text begin That segment of marked U.S.
Highway 12 within the city limits of Wayzata is designated as "Officer Bill Mathews
Memorial Highway." Subject to section 161.139, the commissioner shall adopt a suitable
design to mark this highway and erect appropriate signs.
