  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; providing for hearings related 
  1.3             to toll facilities; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.4             section 160.85, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 160.85, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 3a.  [HEARING.] Before approving or denying a 
  1.9   development agreement, the commissioner shall hold a public 
  1.10  hearing in any municipality or county in which any portion of 
  1.11  the proposed toll facility runs.  The commissioner shall 
  1.12  determine the time and place of the hearing.
