  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to municipal airports; prohibiting closure 
  1.3             without approval of the legislature; proposing coding 
  1.4             for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 360. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [360.046] [CLOSURE PROHIBITED WITHOUT APPROVAL 
  1.7   OF LEGISLATURE.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding sections 360.031 to 360.045 and 473.601 to 
  1.9   473.680, or other law, a municipal airport must not be made, by 
  1.10  any authority, to close down its regular and customary 
  1.11  operations, except for a temporary emergency, or pursuant to a 
  1.12  federally declared national security alert, unless the closure 
  1.13  of the specific airport is specifically approved in a law.
