A bill for an act
relating to capital improvements; authorizing the issuance of state bonds;
appropriating money for the Red Rock Corridor Transit Way.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $2,000,000 is appropriated to the Metropolitan
Council from the bond proceeds fund for the Red Rock Corridor Transit Way between
Hastings and Minneapolis via the Union Depot Concourse Multimodal Transit Hub,
located downtown St. Paul in the area south of Kellogg Boulevard and east of Jackson
Street, and any transit way extension between Hastings and Red Wing for:

new text begin (1) the design, construction, and furnishing of park-and-ride lots; and

new text begin (2) predesign and preliminary engineering for an extension of the Red Rock Corridor
Transit Way between Hastings and Red Wing.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in subdivision 1 from
the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue bonds of the
state in an amount up to $2,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
