A bill for an act
relating to animals; establishing liability for attacks by pets or companion animals;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 347.22.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 347.22, is amended to read:


347.22 DAMAGES, OWNER LIABLE.

who is acting peaceably in any place where the person may lawfully be, the owner of the

the full amount of the injury sustained. The term "owner" includes any person harboring or
