A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for highway safety improvements
in Dakota County; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $12,258,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
account in the state transportation fund to the commissioner of transportation for one or
more grants to the city of Lakeville, Dakota County, or both, to construct the reconstruction
of Dodd Boulevard from 175th Street to Pilot Knob Road (Dakota County State-Aid Highway
31), and other roads to support the completion of the project, including multipurpose
pedestrian and bicycle facilities, public utility relocation and stormwater management to
improve safety, mobility, and traffic conditions. This appropriation includes the cost for
relocation and construction of public utilities on Dodd Boulevard, including sanitary sewer,
watermain, and storm sewer facilities.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
the state in an amount up to $12,258,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
