  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; increasing per student funding 
  1.3             on certain campuses to the average; appropriating 
  1.4             money.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $27,790,525 is appropriated in fiscal year 1999 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the board of trustees of the Minnesota state 
  1.9   colleges and universities.  Of this amount, $12,069,613 for the 
  1.10  state universities is to increase the full year equivalent 
  1.11  student funding to the average at the state universities where 
  1.12  the full year equivalent student funding is below the average in 
  1.13  fiscal year 1998.  Of this amount, $7,567,340 for the technical 
  1.14  colleges is to increase the full year equivalent student funding 
  1.15  to the average at the technical colleges where the full year 
  1.16  equivalent student funding is below the average in fiscal year 
  1.17  1998.  Of this amount, $3,176,385 for the community colleges is 
  1.18  to increase the full year equivalent student funding to the 
  1.19  average at the community colleges where the full year equivalent 
  1.20  student funding is below the average in fiscal year 1998.  Of 
  1.21  this amount, $4,977,187 for the consolidated colleges is to 
  1.22  increase the full year equivalent student funding to the average 
  1.23  at the consolidated colleges where the full year equivalent 
  1.24  student funding is below the average in fiscal year 1998.
