  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to retirement; providing for forfeiture of 
  1.3             certain service credit upon conviction of a gross 
  1.4             misdemeanor or a felony; proposing coding for new law 
  1.5             in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 356. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [356.19] [FORFEITURE.] 
  1.8      A member of the legislators' retirement plan, the elective 
  1.9   state officers' retirement plan, or the judges' retirement fund 
  1.10  who is convicted of a gross misdemeanor or a felony forfeits all 
  1.11  previously accumulated service credit in the plan that the 
  1.12  person is a member of at the time of the conviction.
