1.2relating to capital investment; authorizing spending to acquire and better public
1.3land and buildings and other improvements of a capital nature; authorizing the
1.4issuance of state bonds; appropriating money for the Hallock Ice Arena.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. HALLOCK ICE ARENA.
1.7 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $150,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission for a grant to the Kittson Central
1.9School District, No. 2171, to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip renovations
1.10of the Hallock Ice Arena. This appropriation is not available until the commissioner of
1.11finance determines that at least an equal amount has been committed to the project from
1.12nonstate sources, including in-kind contributions.
1.13 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide money appropriated by subdivision 1 from the bond
1.14proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an
1.15amount up to $150,000 in the manner, on the terms, and with the effect prescribed by
1.16Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution,
1.17article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.18EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
