relating to education; dissolving Independent School District No. 402, Hendricks.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DISSOLUTION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 402,
HENDRICKS.

new text begin (a) Independent School District No. 402, Hendricks, is dissolved. All territory of the
district is attached to Independent School District No. 403, Ivanhoe.

new text begin (b) The bonded debt of Independent School District No. 402, Hendricks, must be
paid according to levies made for that debt under provision of chapter 475. The obligation
of the taxable property in the dissolved district with reference to the payment of such
bonded debt is not affected by this section.

new text begin (c) All of Independent School District No. 402, Hendricks, current assets and
liabilities, real and personal, and all its legally valid and enforceable claims and contract
obligations must pass to Independent School District No. 403, Ivanhoe, except as
provided in Minnesota Statutes, section 123A.75. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes,
section 123A.75, for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 school years, all teachers and staff,
excluding the superintendent, of Independent School District No. 402, Hendricks, shall
retain their positions.
