  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital investment; changing the nonstate 
  1.3             match requirements for the Itasca county 
  1.4             school-to-work technology center; amending Laws 1998, 
  1.5             chapter 404, section 23, subdivision 30.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 23, subdivision 
  1.8   30, is amended to read: 
  1.9   Subd. 30.  Itasca County School-to-Work
  1.10  Technology Center                                     2,000,000 
  1.11  For a grant to Itasca county to design 
  1.12  and construct a school-to-work 
  1.13  technology center in conjunction with 
  1.14  the school district, the city of 
  1.15  Nashwauk, and private industry.  Each 
  1.16  dollar of state money must be matched 
  1.17  by $1 of nonstate money.  For every 
  1.18  dollar of nonstate money committed to 
  1.19  the project, two dollars of this 
  1.20  appropriation are available to the 
  1.21  county, up to the total amount 
  1.22  appropriated.  
  1.23  This appropriation is from the general 
  1.24  fund.
