A bill for an act
relating to state government; constraining the amount that state employers can
contract to pay employees based on the biennial appropriation to the agency;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 179A.20, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 179A.20, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

to employees in compensation and benefits in a biennium than is permitted under an approved
spending plan as provided in section 16A.14.
