relating to state government; limiting growth of state employment.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin LIMITING GROWTH IN STATE EMPLOYMENT BASED ON STATE
POPULATION.

The percentage growth of the total number of full-time equivalent positions employed
by all executive branch state agencies from one fiscal year to the next must not exceed the
percentage growth of the state population during the same time frame, as projected by the
state demographer.
