  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; appropriating money 
  1.3             for repair of the Lake Zumbro Hydroelectric Dam; 
  1.4             authorizing the sale of state bonds. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [LAKE ZUMBRO DAM REPAIR.] 
  1.7      $1,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.8   the commissioner of natural resources for a grant to Rochester 
  1.9   Public Utilities for the repair of the Lake Zumbro Hydroelectric 
  1.10  Dam. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.12     To provide the money appropriated in this act from the 
  1.13  state bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on 
  1.14  request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state 
  1.15  in an amount up to $1,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and 
  1.16  with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 
  1.17  16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article 
  1.18  XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.19     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     This act is effective the day following enactment.
