  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money to 
  1.3             Minnesota safety council for traffic safety training 
  1.4             and education. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION FOR TRAFFIC SAFETY PURPOSES.] 
  1.7      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   Minnesota safety council to continue and expand: 
  1.9      (1) traffic safety education, driver training, and 
  1.10  crosswalk safety awareness programs; 
  1.11     (2) public education through news media and other methods 
  1.12  that provide information to help Minnesotans protect themselves 
  1.13  from unintentional injury; and 
  1.14     (3) assistance to political subdivisions and state agencies 
  1.15  for promoting compliance with traffic safety laws and rules and 
  1.16  for educating Minnesota citizens about how to reduce injury and 
  1.17  economic loss from traffic crashes.
